Supporting Educational Needs in a Tea Estate Community:

Cross Culture Tours is proud to announce our upcoming project for 2025, which will focus on supporting the educational needs of a tea estate community in Sri Lanka. This mission aims to uplift children and educators by improving access to essential resources and enhancing the learning environment.

Partnering once again with ADRA Sri Lanka, we will be working closely with the local community to address critical gaps in education. By supporting this project, you can help over 300 children access better educational opportunities and build a brighter future.

Together, we will make a lasting impact in a region where quality education is key to overcoming socio-economic challenges. Join us as we strive to create a sustainable difference in the lives of these students and their families.

NEW PROJECT - MAY 2025
Gartmore Tamil Secondary School: Computer Laboratory
Project Overview
Establishing a Computer Lab at Gartmore Tamil Vidyalayam

For our 2025 project, Cross Culture Tours will focus on setting up a fully equipped computer lab at Gartmore Tamil Vidyalayam. This will address the growing need for technological skills and resources, which are vital in today's fast-developing digital world. Schools in tea estate communities often lack such essential facilities, and Gartmore is no exception. Most secondary schools in the estate sector do not have access to modern IT infrastructure, limiting students’ ability to keep pace with global advancements in education and technology.

By providing the structural infrastructure, furniture, IT lab equipment, computers, software, skilled personnel and internet access, we aim to empower the 368 students at Gartmore to develop crucial digital skills. This initiative will open new doors of opportunity, helping them compete in the wider workforce and break barriers to future success.
This project builds on our previous work in renovating the school, and now we seek to further enhance learning conditions by ensuring students have the tools they need to thrive in the information age.
